Here's how to take advantage of the advanced features of the app, using Shopping Sessions.

A Shopping Session should be started when you enter into a specific shop and should be closed when you leave it. Every session stores the items you have bought, the order you have picked them and optionally the total amount you've spent and a note.

This information is used to filter the list by current shop, to order the items by position in the shop and to build reports.

You can manage sessions at any time by touching the "Shopping" button in the bottom button bar.

In the shopping form you can specify the current shop, start and close the session and access the session archive and shopping assistant. To choose the current shop, touch the shop field; the shop selection list appears. Touching a shop will select it as the current shop. Touch "None" (that's always at the top of the list) to clear the current shop. The "Target" button, top right, uses the localization hardware to filter the list showing only the shops that are at most 50 meters from you. This feature can be useful if you have a lot of shops in your archive. The current shop is showed at the top of the List view.

When you've chosen a shop, you can start a session by touching the "Start session" button. The form displays the date and time you've started the session.

When it's time to close the session, touch the "Close session" button. You can also "Reset" the session if you don't want to store the session. If you reset the session, all items-shop relationships of the session will not saved.

Before you close the session, you can optionally specify the total amount you've spent and/or a note. The amount is used in reporting, as we'll see later. The note will be used in advanced reporting in the web interface only.

The amount should contains only the number, without the currency symbol or other letters. You can also choose to keep the checked items in the list, by default they are removed. Touch "Done" to close the session.
